Lumbini Province is located in the western part of Nepal. It is bordered by Gandaki Province to the east, Sudurpashchim Province to the west, Karnali Province to the northwest, and the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh to the south.
The capital of Lumbini Province is Deukhuri, situated in the Dang district.
Lumbini Province is internationally recognized as the birthplace of Gautama Buddha. It is home to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Lumbini, which attracts pilgrims and tourists from around the world.
The official language is Nepali. Other widely spoken languages include Tharu, Bhojpuri, Awadhi, and Magar.
